Anyway, I'm going out there to get measured and weighed and whatever else it is they do when you go for a physical. I'm also going to request blood work. This is also covered by my insurance. I want to get it and make another appointment so that I can find out if I'm eligible to go on Adapex. A coworker of mine went on it (it's basically like prescription speed - the half of Phen Phen that doesn't kill you) and has lost about twenty pounds so far. Shelby's ex-roommate went on it and lost 60 pounds in three months. And Ruben says it increases the rate of neuron fire in your brain, so it actually makes you SMARTER. Now, I don't know about losing 60 pounds in three months (I would probably disappear, first of all - but second of all, that seems like an unhealthy rate of weight loss) but I'm all about taking a pill every day that makes me skinny AND smarter. You can't go wrong with that.
Aside from that, I went to the gym with Shelby and another coworker yesterday. We did bikes and Nordic Trak and I did some rowing machine and... Bleh. I think I'll stick with the swimming, man. I hate that sticky feeling you get when you're covered in sweat. Add to this the fact that I smoke a pack a day and you can imagine how pathetic that looked. We all collapsed afterward going, "We. Are. Pathetic." But I'm okay with that. Because change is gradual. Isn't it?
