I paid every single bill I owe today. Both credit cards, cable, phone, electricity, calling card, Target card. They've all been stamped and put in the mailbox.
As much as paying bills sucks, there's something satisfying about getting it all out of the way. It feels substantial. I did something great today: I gave away a bunch of my money so that my phone wouldn't get turned off and my credit won't suck.
There are some things that just FEEL adult. Paying the bills is a big one, but there are days when I have lots of errands to run that I feel just like my Mother. Go to the bank, the post office, hit the grocery store. Something about having all of these things to do makes my place in the world feel secure.
I am consumer. Hear me roar.
