Give Me Your Money

It's funny how hearing covers sometimes make you want to listen to the original song that much more. When we went to Tenacious D a couple months ago, they played a cover of the Beatles' "Give Me Your Money". I had to download it. Because I really like this song. But that doesn't have much to do with anything.

The timing belt is going bad on my car. I've called a couple shops and it looks like it's going to cost me about $200 to get it fixed.

So now I'm faced with the age old question: Repair or re-buy? I'm torn on this issue, because I'm going to have to fix my car anyway if I'm going to sell it, right? But it's not going to sell for very much no matter what I do since it's so bruised up. My baby has definitely been through the fire.

I got my car right before I graduated high school in 1997. My Dad helped me pick it out. I've never had to pick out a car on my own. I don't really know what to look for or what to do. That's kind of a problem, too.

I don't know what I'm going to end up doing. Probably just fixing my car and then driving it into the ground. It's got 147,000 miles on it, though. So the ground is rushing up to meet me, but it's moving slowly enough that I can slide on the parachute for a while before the situation goes critical.

There were lots of questions here and no answers. But maybe that's why you never give me your money, you only give me your funny papers.
