Accidental Stars
It's difficult to see the
sky in the
city.
The populated lights
dull it all
down.
But one day, I was
standing outside, and I
pointed up to a star.
He said, "I don't think that's a
star.
I think that's
Mars."
So I laughed.
Because all I'd seen was an
accidental star.
But somehow, that didn't
cheapen it in
any
way.
